The Sonoma County that we love!

Social Media Seminar

Particulars:
Wednesday 6/24/09 10am
Sonoma County Tourism Bureau

Yes, yes, I know. It’s been awhile but I’m back with renewed vigor. So here goes….

Today I attended a Social Media class at the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau in Santa Rosa. It was held by Shana Ray, Media Maven, and Keri Hanson the Public Relations and Marketing Manager for the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau. I love to learn and it was a great forum for the information.

Shana covered the 10 basics of new or social media, largely focusing on Twitter and Facebook. If you or your business are looking to learn more about this subject and want to see how the Tourism Bureau has succeeded and learned a few things, this class is FREE and worth your time. Contact either of them via their twitter handles @sharayray and @insidesonoma or click on their links.

  1. I just added you to my blog roll, which means I expect to see blog posts from you know! 😉

Thanks for coming today, I hope if anything, you were inspired to get back into blogging! Also, thanks for sharing the same love of social media!

    *shana.

  2. …. and remember, once you hit “send” sometimes things cannot be erased….

    “you now”

  3. I am Sonoma County said:

Ahhh….the cruel mistress that is the “Send” button. I’ve recently shed a service that took up much of my time and now I can be more involved with what makes me excited, teaching others to use technology that is useful to them. So I fully expect to be more cerebral (read, at my computer more) and on my game!
